Welcome to the DHWA Rule Book! Here is your go-to guide for everything that DHWA would consider vital information for all RP’ers, new and old. They’re fairly short and simple, but if you have any concerns or questions regarding these rules, please, contact a Staff Member (identified by the black-colored display names) to clear things up.
Anyway, here are the set-in-stone, must-follow rules.
Roster Selection : DHWA is proud to announce that we accept both CAW wrestlers (Create a Wrestler, ie fictional wrestlers) and real, existing wrestlers. Keep in mind, that when using a CAW, you need to select a character base. It’s recommended you use someone who’s fairly well-known so we can feature them in Pay-Per-View posters and other forms of media (videos, articles, etc.).
Foul Language : Foul language is accepted to a degree. We don’t mind the occasional swear word every now and then, but please refrain from filling your RP’s full of foul language since sometimes it devalues the piece when it’s overused. As far as discussions that take place elsewhere on the board, you can use this kind of language freely.
Racism : Racism is strictly prohibited. DHWA Staff has the right to do everything from editing your posts to remove the error to suspending, or even banning you. It’s not tolerated at all and you will be punished in some shape or form. This also applies to religion-based discrimination.
No-Showing : No-Shows are often the crippling factor in an E-Fed’s demise, so please, try to stay as active as possible. If you are busy or unable to RP, we recommend you leave a LOA (Leave of Absence) notice in its respectful thread. Once you miss three shows, your contract will be terminated.
Staff Posses the Bottom Line : The DHWA Staff the power to suspend, ban and warn any DHWA talent if in their eyes they’ve violated any of the rules stated above. I, the owner and creator of DHWA, have the highest level of authority, which means my decision overrules all other staff’s. Everything, for the most part, goes through me, but I trust my staff to make fair decisions in the end.

Now that we’ve covered the basic rules that apply to the board and your RP’s, it’s now time for us to sink our teeth in how contests will be judged. It’s best to read all of this for it is a necessity here at the Die-Hard Wrestling Alliance. Once again, If there’s anything that you find hard to understand or you have a few general questions about, you’re more than free to PM a Staff Member about the problem(s) you’ve run into when it comes to the judging process.
First of all, we shall cover how Non-Title Matches will be judged.

Once again, If there’s anything that you find hard to understand or you have a few general questions about, you’re more than free to PM a Staff Member about the problem(s) you’ve run into when it comes to the judging process.
First of all, we shall cover how Non-Title Matches will be judged.
NON-TITLE MATCHES :
One Judge Required : Fairly straightforward with this one. Non-Title Matches are generally judged with a minimum of one judge, but the judge has the right to contact another for their input if they are stuck on who is deserving to take home the ‘W’.
Quality over Quantity : Judging here at the DHWA is purely based on quality, not quantity. However, this doesn’t mean longer RP’s are frowned upon, since they are accepted with open arms as long as they sit comfortably within the word limits (see below). Your RP can be lengthy, but it needs to be fresh. In short: shorter RP that packs a punch sometimes outweighs a longer RP that doesn’t.
World Limit : Every RP needs a limit that shouldn’t be exceeded by a large amount. The word limit for a Non-Title Match is usually 2,500 (2.5k) unless stated otherwise. Though, we here at DHWA understand sometimes you get caught up in what you’re writing, so because of this, we offer a 500-word window outside of the usual 2.5k that will not hurt your RP all that much when it comes to the judging process.
RP Limit : Outside of the 2.5k world limit, there is also a RP limit as well. Everyone is given a maximum of two RP’s for EVERY match, including those on Pay-Per-Views and for Championships. As well, if you were to post one RP and your opponent were to post two, the better out of your opponent’s two will be put up against your one for a fair match.
Plagiarism : Plagiarism is the act of copy and pasting someone else’s words and using them as your own. This goes for Wiki articles and things of that nature. If you were to use something from a Wiki page, please dress it up a bit to make it seem like it’s your own writing through wording the expert differently. If you were to quote a poem or song or anything in your RP, outside of your theme music, please credit the original writer(s)/performer(s) in an OOC (Out of Character) at the bottom of your post.
Cameos : Like most E-Feds, DHWA allows you to feature another DHWA Superstar in your RP, ONLY if you PM them first to get their permission. If you do so without their consent, or without a OOC at the end of your RP stating that you contacted that RP’er, a staff member will contact that RP’er and ask them to make sure they gave you permission to have them featured. This doesn’t go for Factions, since teams are often seen together in segments, but please add an OOC to clarify. Also, if you were to feature another DHWA Superstar in your RP, please don’t do any harm to them unless they allowed you to through PM. Once again, it’s recommended you say this in an OOC.
The Non-Title Matches rules are fairly universal here in DHWA. The Title Matches have small differences that will be listed below. Anything that isn’t listed in the Title Match’s rules means that they are the same as the Non-Title Match rules.
TITLE MATCHES :
Two Judges Required : As opposed to the Non-Title Matches, two judges are required for Title Matches. If the two judges happen to be split down the middle with their decision, they may call in a third opinion to sway the vote for the winner and the deserving champion.
Word-Limit : There is NO specific word limit for Title Match RP’s. Just make sure they don’t drag on too, too long. Other than that, you’re free to do what you wish with your Title Match RP’s!

The most important rule out of all of these, however, is fairly short and is to the point: HAVE FUN. We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay here at DHWA and if you follow these very simple and basic guidelines, you will enjoy your stay to the fullest!
Thank you!
