Cage Match
The Great MUTA vs. Derick Moris
The Battle of the Painted Warriors one may call this match-up as the Japanese veteran, The Great MUTA, took on the mysterious, Derick Moris. MUTA appeared in the ring with his traditional face paint, black on white with Japanese symbols painted in black. His manager Slick paces at ringside, watching his client as the cage slowly lowers. The son of The Great Kabuki has his eyes fixed on the cage, but Derick gets the upper hand in the match by taking MUTA down with a stiff clothesline. A heated crowd showed their hate for both men in this match, with half of the crowd cheering for the veteran, and the other half cheering for the hardcore clown. The early advantage Moris tried to get didn't quite work out as this seemed to enrage MUTA and he quickly began to work down Derick with some swift kicks to the torso and legs. MUTA made the rookie mistake of trying to make a fast escape out of the cage, but was only brought back down to earth by Moris. Not one to stay down, MUTA quickly bounced up to his feet, and the two squared off in the center of the ring.
Only ten minutes into the match and both men are just about covered in their own blood. The paint that once covered MUTA's face turned to all red and was just about gone. Moris seemed to be the better of the two, just as bloody, but on his feet while the elder MUTA struggled to get up in this match. Slick is basically screaming at ringside, trying to get MUTA up, while Derick looks to the cage for freedom. Unknown to him, the veteran managed to stand up, and grab hold of him halfway up the cage. MUTA pulled Moris off of the cage, but the clown managed to land on his feet perfectly. Looking to make his next move, Moris took to the ropes, but was met with a powerful blow of the infamous green mist. Blinded by the mist, Moris crumbled to one knee, allowing MUTA to unleash his signature Shining Wizard! However, Derick had a trick of his own, and pulled up for a thundering superkick to the jaw of the Japanese icon. Whatever energy he had left was used on that kick and both men laid in the ring, trying to catch a break.
Around the twentieth minute in the cage, MUTA finally decided to end this match once and for all. Using the help of the cage, MUTA pulled himself up to the turnbuckle, and hopped on top. He took the time to spit a second green mist into the air and flip off the downed Moris. MUTA took flight and came down with a Moonsault that seemed to take all of the air out of both men. Slick, now screaming basically, told MUTA to hurry up, and get out of the cage. While the look on MUTA's face made it seem like he wanted to cause more damage, he acted like the experienced wrestler he was, and took to scaling up the cage. While the fans may have also wanted more, the damaged body of MUTA had just enough fuel left to get him over the cage, and secure the win.

Slim Pickens vs. Steve Corino
This was an all out war! Blood, sweat and more blood was left painted all over the canvas after this match. Early on Steve took the lead after utilizing his loved steel chain! From across the ring he balled it up and chucked it at Slim's face, as soon as the bell sounded and knocked him to the floor. The fans surprising let out a huge pop! After all this was the first hardcore match they were witnessing in DHWA's history! Steve exited the ring and went to the corner where Picken's lay writhing in pain. He took the chain, wrapped it around his neck and anchored his weight down- putting extreme pressure on Picken's neck as he cranked it against the apron. He finally let go and left Slim coughing with his head rested uncomfortably over the apron. The Hardcore legend took a step back before driving the sole of his boot into Slim's temple- forcing him to roll to the center of the ring, leaving the chain in the corner.
The match continued to pick up and only ten minutes into it a lead pipe, and two steel chairs have also been utilized, resulting in both athletes being split open. Slim was surprising Steve with his ability to use foreign object. He had a chair wedged into the corner and threw Corino head-first into it. The fight ended up going outside of confines of the ring and precariously on the announcers table. Steve had his chain in hand and begin to rap it around his elbow. Once he had it securely around his joint he hit his signature move on Picken's- a roaring elbow, leveling him and leaving him in a blood mess on the announcers' table. Easily, Steve could have pinned him but he decided he wasn't done. He picked up his foe and locked him in a German Suplex position before reclining back and putting him through the announce table. Both lay there weakened and bruised before Steve mustered up the energy to cover Slim for the pin!
