The Beginning of a New Era
Three years ago Vincent Kennedy McMahon foolishly fired one of WWE's all time greatest wrestler, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Needless to say the Texas Rattle Snake was furious. He stormed out of WWE's ring once and for all but not after delivering a jaw-shattering Stone Cold Stunner to the WWE Chairmen himself.
After unceremoniously being released from the very company he put his blood, sweat and tears into Stone Cold undoubtedly had some very close friends in the business. That being sad, following Steve Austin out of the proverbial door was Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and a few of WWE's important staff. The WWE had it's foundation rocked because of how Vince treated the WWE Hall of Famer. Quickly the fans began to lose interest in the company, then ratings drops and the money stopped coming in as well; all leading to Vince filing for Bankruptcy.
The Rattle Snake saw this as an opportunity to get back in the public eye and that's what he did! In just two months after WWE had it's doors shut once and for all, Steve demanded a meeting with the executive producer of Spike TV and he landed himself a spot to air a two hour wrestling program. He quickly called up some friends and now DHWA is the world's number 1 wrestling show by default, but it has the action to live up to it!
